About: The 35th running of the Nashua Loskop Marathon Series 50km takes place on 20 April 2024.
The point to point event is a firm favourite on the running calendar starting in Middelburg and finishing at Loskopdam, a Forever Resort.
The Nashua Loskop Marathon 50km is an ultra-marathon on a route very similar to the Comrades Marathon route and a keen favourite amongst marathon runners.
The event series also comprise of the 15th Nashua Loskop Wild Challenge 21.1km and the 4.9km Save the Rhino - Fun Run.
The events have a field limit of 5000 for the 50km and 2000 for the 21.1km.
Race entry fees include the by now icon - a commemorative long sleeve T-shirt & special race-designed Medal (21.1km and 50km events only) As well as a ½ bag of oranges.
Permanent Numbers are awarded to athletes who completed their 10th/20th/25th/30th race.

The N11 road is closed between Middelburg and Loskopdam on race-day between 5:00 - 13:00
Bus transport is available before/after the event to transport athletes from Loskopdam to Middelburg.
Free tog-bag service from the start to the finish at Loskopdam.
Water-points of unknown parallel with lots of extras to eat and drink.
An immediate and free blood-analysis is done at the finish to those athletes requiring such an analysis.
Physio therapy services along the route (30km/40km) and at the finish.
The most spectacular finish of all marathons - experienced at the top of Varaday Hill (48km)
A warning though - "Once you've done a Loskop - you're hooked forever!"
