The Dyfi 8 Trail Race
Taking place entirely on forestry fire roads, this is a non-technical but fast and hilly race! Take on the classic 8 mile route (can you beat the 1 hour mark?!), or opt for the shorter 8k - either way, you'll find this an interesting and challenging race! We reverse the route each year, and 2024 is anticlockwise!
As a low-cost event there are no medals or trophies, but there will be prizes for category winners. This year we are raising money for Aberdyfi Search and Rescue Team, a dedicated team of volunteers who provide a 365-day service covering remote areas in south Snowdonia and mid-Wales. They are funded completely by charitable donations so please contribute if you can!
8 mile route approximate ascent: 400 metres
8k route approximate ascent: 280 metres
Open to age 17+ for the 8k route and 18+ for the 8 mile route (age on 31/12/24)
Event held in accordance with Welsh Athletics rules and regulations.
