We invite you to join us for the 8th annual Mandela Remembrance Walk and Run to celebrate Nelson Mandela's legacy! This year, the event will be held on Sunday 5 December 2021 from 8am at the Union Buildings.
Please note that entries for the live 10Km event are now closed and only enteries for the Virtual are available.
Due to current restrictions we will be hosting a 5km walk by invitation only and 10km Live event for a maximum of 1000 entrants. Entries must be processed online and will be limited to the first 1000 entries. This event will be timed.
To allow for a broader local & international participation there will also be a Virtual 5km, 10km & 21km Event which can be done Anywhere in the World on your own Route on Sunday 5 December 2021. If you are entered for the Virtual Event you will not be allowed to attend the live race as access will be controlled.
Event merchandise will be on sale during the entry process and must be collected at race number collection which will happen on Saturday 4 December and Sunday 5 December 2021. Venue and times will be confirmed closer to race day.
All proceeds raised will be donated to the Nelson Mandela Foundation to continue with the work the Foundation does and to preserve and promote Madiba's legacy.
